Armored Turtle Digital Concept Art

A more fantasy based turtle creature. I used different types of turtles and tortoises when putting together references. Initial Sketches were breaking down how the shell and head could look and how they would match up together. After figuring out it would be more of a war turtle a strong more aggressive pose was decided on. Pencil Line work was scanned and brought into photoshop and after about 25 hours of work this is where it stands.
